For this assignment I decided to do my poster on the Women, Life, Freedom movement. I
researched other posters inspired on the movement to try to get an idea of what I wanted to make. I found that people tend to focus on the Women, Life, Freedom phrase whenever they make a poster inspired on this movement, meaning that most posters simply show this phrase as the main focus with little to no other designs.

During my research, I also learned that the movement started in Kurdistan and is mainly followed by English, French and Kurdish speaking people. I decided to add the phrase “Women, Life, Movement” in three different languages to my poster and make that the focus of my design. The three languages are English, French, and Kurdish, as these are the primary languages of the people that know and follow the movement.
For the background, I decided to go with a gradient design with pink and orange because I believe these colors are currently trending and would make my design more attractive. For the fonts, I decided to keep it simple because I wanted to add effects to the words and didn’t want it to look overwhelming. Also, because I only used three different words, it was easier to distort them and add effects to them because they didn't 'clash' with any other design. I then added effects to almost all the fonts and tried to make them different from one another so that each font/word was unique and attractive.
Finally, I used the colors red, green, and yellow for the phrase written in Kurdish as these are the colors of the Kurdish flag and I wanted to link my design somehow to the origins of the movement. I also made the font and positioning of this word in a way that would portray movement so that it could resemble the Kurdish flag.
